Science Show News: A Fun and Educational Event for Students
Last week, Vidya Vatika Public School hosted a science show event for its students from grade 3 to 10. The event was organized by the school's science teachers, who used various lab apparatus from the school's composite lab to demonstrate some amazing experiments and explain the scientific principles behind them.
The students enjoyed watching and learning from the science show, which covered topics such as:
- Explaining magic tricks with scientific principles: The teachers showed how some common magic tricks, such as levitating objects, bending spoons, and disappearing ink, can be explained by physics, chemistry, and biology concepts.
- Using household items to explore scientific knowledge: The teachers also used everyday items, such as balloons, candles, vinegar, and baking soda, to perform experiments that illustrated concepts such as air pressure, combustion, chemical reactions, and gas laws.
- Understanding acids, bases and salts, their properties and how they interact with each other: The teachers demonstrated how to test the pH of different substances using indicators, how to neutralize acids and bases using salts, and how to make crystals using salt solutions.
The science show event was a great way to spark curiosity and interest in science among the students. It also helped them to develop their scientific skills, such as observation, inference, hypothesis, and experimentation. The students expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the teachers for organizing such a fun and educational event.
