May 28, 2023

Imagine if you could transform your kitchen into a fun and exciting chemistry lab, where you could explore the amazing phenomena of science with items that you use every day. That's exactly what our students did at our Chemistry magic show, where they learned how to make colorful reactions, test for acids and bases, and even create their own fabric dye using natural ingredients. They were guided by our wonderful teachers, who brought some equipment and materials from Whiteboard schools Science Lab to enhance the learning experience. They used beakers, pipettes, burettes, and pH meters to measure and mix different solutions. They also used indicators like turmeric, red cabbage, and litmus paper to test the acidity or alkalinity of various substances. They learned how lemon juice, vinegar, baking soda, and soap can act as acids or bases, and how they can neutralize each other. They also learned how to make their own indicators from plants, such as beetroot, hibiscus, and blackberries. They experimented with different combinations of acids, bases, and indicators to create a rainbow of colors. They even used their homemade indicators to dye a piece of fabric and create their own design. Our students were filled with wonder and curiosity, which are the keys to unlocking knowledge and creativity. They had a blast experimenting with different substances and seeing the results. They also learned some important concepts and skills in chemistry, such as pH, indicators, neutralization, and titration. They also developed their scientific inquiry skills, such as observing, predicting, testing, and explaining. #whiteboardschools #kcsfoundation #experientiallearning #InnovativeTeaching #bestschoolofsinghia
