Vidya Vatika Public School celebrates 77th Independence Day with patriotic fervour
On August 15, 2023, Vidya Vatika Public School celebrated the 77th Independence Day of India with great enthusiasm and pride. The students, teachers and staff gathered in the school premises to pay homage to the freedom fighters and leaders who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
The celebration began with a prabhat pheri, a morning procession, in which the students marched to the tunes of drum beat and sang patriotic songs. The procession was led by the school principal Mr. Chandan Jha, who also hoisted the tri-colour flag in the presence of the chief guest, Mr. Suman Kumar Jha, the chairman and director of the school.
After the flag hoisting ceremony, principal Mr. Jha addressed the students and reminded them that freedom also brings the responsibility of shaping our future. He urged them to uphold the values of democracy, secularism and unity in diversity that define our nation. He also praised them for their academic achievements and co-curricular activities.
The chief guest, Mr. Suman Kumar Jha, also delivered a motivational speech to the students. He said that India's freedom marked a moment of liberating our potential from colonial constraints. He said that now they are free to unleash their potential and build a great nation. He encouraged them to pursue their dreams and passions with dedication and hard work.
The celebration continued with various cultural programmes by the students. They gave speeches on various topics related to India's history, culture and achievements. They also sang songs that expressed their love and gratitude for the motherland. The programmes showcased the talent and creativity of the students.
The school secretary Mr. Pankaj Jha and manager Mr. Rakesh Ranjan Jha congratulated the VVPS team for braving the weather to celebrate the 77th Independence Day. They said that this zeal and determination is truly worthy of our children who are going to be nation builders. They also thanked the parents and guardians for their support and cooperation.
