One of the most significant features of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is the emphasis on experiential learning in the curriculum. - Integrating experiential learning in the curriculum and assessment frameworks for school education and higher education.
- Encouraging teachers to adopt experiential learning methods in their classrooms and providing them with adequate training and support.
- Providing students with opportunities to participate in experiential learning activities both inside and outside the school, such as clubs, societies, competitions, festivals, exhibitions, etc.
- Establishing partnerships with various stakeholders, such as industry, civil society, government and non-government organizations, to facilitate experiential learning opportunities for students.
- Creating a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students through experiential learning.
The NEP 2020 aims to transform the Indian education system into one that fosters holistic development, lifelong learning and global citizenship among students. By emphasizing on experiential learning, it hopes to make education more enjoyable, relevant and effective for the learners of today and tomorrow.
