Importance of allowing children to be: Stress free learning

Working as a teacher, i have often encountered children complaining about their parents. Usually it is the parental expectations that they find to be overburdening. In these situations, schools need to councel parents. Parents need to understand that children need their own sweet time to discover their strengths and weaknesses, and accordingly figure out the opportunities and threats they may face in their lives. The element of self-discovery makes it a more impactful learning. Of course, we teachers and parents can also play positive role by guiding them in this self-discovery and keeping them motivated if they encounter adverse situations. On the other hand, schools can focus on integrating cultural events in their calendar where children can find another outlet for their creative selves.
